A Message From The Principal

 July 31, 2019

Dear Noddin Families,

Welcome back and I can’t wait to see everyone on the first day back to school and kick-off the 2019 – 20 school year!  The teachers, staff, and I look forward to welcoming the returning and new students to Noddin Elementary.  We also look forward to working together to make the school year educational, fun, and memorable for all students!

The Noddin staff and I are excited to begin a new PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports) program this year.  Our acronym is P.R.I.D.E. – problem-solve, respect, independent thinkers, make wise decisions, and empathy.  Students will receive training and instruction on what these terms mean for them at school and how they can show the expected behaviors in class, at lunch, and even before & after school!  More information will be sent as we start the new school year.

We have some new additions to our teaching staff this year!  Joining our 3rd grade team is Lisa Price.  Lisa was a teacher at Union Middle School before moving to Carlton Elementary.  After taking some time off for her 3rd child, she will now be joining the Noddin Roadrunner team.  Please also welcome Lauren Blake-Whitney, who will be joining our 5th grade team.  Lauren comes to us from Lietz Elementary where she also taught 5th grade.  Teachers at Lietz and Noddin agree Lauren will be an amazing addition to our staff.  Welcome Lisa and Lauren!

On the reverse side of this letter, you’ll find a list of important dates and times, the bell schedule, and class placement information, as well as the enclosed letter from Noddin Home and School Club.  Noddin Home and School Club can always use more adult volunteers to help support the programs and events we have here at school.  If you would like to see how you can help, please contact our co-presidents Jennifer Moore and Mary Ellen Poirer at

Please continue to enjoy these last remaining days of summer and I look forward to welcoming you to another exciting school year!  Please make sure to say hello on the first day, week, or Back to School Night on August 21st.
